Your clock, your look
The aesthetic clock starts from eight complete one-tap looks and then opens every control underneath. Graphite is the default dark canvas. Ember warms the digits to amber on a near-black brown. Paper flips the page light with a grain finish. Sage, Rose, and Ocean push the cards into green, red, and blue-black territory while keeping digits bright. Concrete is a flat light grey for bright rooms. Sunset drops a violet-to-orange gradient behind dark translucent cards.
Twelve backgrounds cover the rest: a solid color, a graphite gradient, an ember glow, an aurora mesh in teal and green, a sunset linear wash, an ocean radial, a paper grain, a dot grid, slow drifting blurred orbs, pure OLED black, a custom two-color gradient with angle control, and your own photo. Orbs freeze when the system asks for reduced motion.
Photo mode keeps everything on-device. An uploaded image is downscaled to 1920 pixels, stored as a Blob in this browser's IndexedDB — never in a cookie, never on a server — with sliders for blur, a dim overlay, cover or contain fit, and position. If storage fails, the photo still works for the session and the panel says so. Share links carry every setting except the photo, and the panel says that too.
Card controls go deep: digit color, a solid or two-stop card gradient, hinge color, thickness, and visibility, six self-hosted fonts with weight and letter spacing, card gap, corner radius from 0 to 40, size, shadow and glow strength, and film grain. Flip style switches between Classic, Flat, and Realistic, with fast, normal, or slow timing. Seconds, 12 or 24 hour, AM/PM, date line, and auto, row, or column layout all apply live.
Sound is synthesised, not sampled. Three tick types — Soft, Mechanical, Wood — come from the Web Audio API with a volume slider, and the audio context only starts after you interact with the page. Save up to eight named looks locally, rename or delete them, export the set as JSON, or import it on another device. Shuffle rolls a random combination that is checked against a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio and auto-adjusted when it falls short; a warning appears if you pick a low-contrast pair by hand.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. It is downscaled and stored in this browser's IndexedDB only, and it is excluded from share links.
How many looks can I save?
Eight named looks, stored locally, with JSON export and import for moving between devices.
What does Shuffle guarantee?
Every shuffled combination passes a 4.5:1 digit-versus-card contrast check, auto-adjusted when needed.
Which fonts are available?
Six self-hosted options — Archivo, Hanken Grotesk, Geist Mono, Oswald, Bebas Neue, and Inter — with weight and spacing controls.
